Guest sheffield_rob Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 I have got the iGO satnav folders onto my phone but when I go an auto run and its asked whether I want to install Nav n Go iGO 8 it says there isnt enough free space on your device. It needs 6411718 bytes. However Im sure I have this available so how can I fix this? Thanks
Guest sheffield_rob Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 Ive now tried it from a memory card and my storage with the same result
Guest Neil5459 Posted December 23, 2008 Report Posted December 23, 2008 By default. iGO installs its operating files onto the main device memory, and it needs 6MB for this. It sounds as if you are very lopw on device memory, so haven't enough space to install. There is a workaround though. First, make a backup of your main iGO files in case things don't work out! Now, look in the main iGO8 folder for a file called application.dat. Rename this file to iGO8.exe. Now, tapping this file from File Explorer ought to launch the iGO program. Assuming it does, you now need to use a File Explorer to create a shortcut to this file in Programs for easy launching. Using this workaround renders the Today screen iGO plug-in inoperative.
