As the topic says... Will I have a problem with flashing ROMs if I install XP x64?? Been doing it with 32-bit without problems...

So any warnings or anyone can confirm that it will go just like it should??

Using the all-in-one exe's:

You will be able to update the windows and frontend parts but the phone section will not update.

The phone will still work but you will be left with the old phone rom.

When booting you will also see a icon of a broken phone, this is because the IPL checks the version of the phone rom. Of course you will only see this once as you won't want to power the phone down again until you do the next update.

Using Windows 32bit to update in the future fixes the problem.

Can anyone confirm this?

That the updater wont update the phone part only means that the Samsung modem driver doesn't support XP Pro x64?

Just reinstalled XP Pro x64.. crap!..

Yep, I can confirm this!!

Three XP64 machines all do the same thing.

Five XP32 machine all work just fine.

I have tried all the methods you read about, firewall, modem drivers, safemode... Nothing helps to update the phone section.

It doesn't break the phone just doesn't update it. In all the updates I have not really noticed any problems with earlier versions of the phone roms so until you get to a XP32 machine it's really not a big problem.

I have done this with all updates until DXHK3 as I update them at home on a XP64 to try the new features and then update again when I go to work using one of the XP32 machines.

those on x64 or vista could try using a virtual machine setup as xp32...
