Bricked my phone - Phone is dead =(

well... just tried to update my fone with the MD204 ROM... and yeah... as documented on this forum already, it just stopped at the part where it says "downloading eboot and rebooting twice" or something along those lines.... after that, the phone screen went blank and only the red LED on the power buttom remained on....

goin to take my phone back to the place i got it 2moro so they can send it away to samsung to get it repaired.....

its still within the 14 day warranty period which samsung have when you purchase a brand new fone off them... so hopefully it wont cost me anything to get it fixed....

has anyone been able to get it fixed by samsung? and if so, were they still withing the warranty period? and if not, how long and how much were u charged to get it fixed?

i will let u all know how it goes.....

p.s. i am very sad atm, bcuz im really tight on money..... hopefully samsung can fix it for free under warranty .......... =(

Just don't say that you uploaded new firmware and tell them that it died for reasons unknown to you. Then they won't be able to prove a thing and you'll get a new phone.

i think u might have solved that with flashing it with the new official samsung rom at their website...
