Guest platypus04 Posted December 23, 2008 Report Posted December 23, 2008 I've tried putting music on my Verizon Omnia via Media Monkey, sync with WMP and even just dragging and dropping from Windows. No matter the method, my album art always appears as photos in the "Photo Slides" application (the one accessed by pressing the camera button without holding). This is tremendously annoying, as 8 gigs of music tends to generate a lot of album art. Has anyone else experienced this and found a way to add music files to their phones without rendering the photos application useless? Thanks in advance...
Guest platypus04 Posted December 24, 2008 Report Posted December 24, 2008 bump^ Is everyone having this problem and just living with it then?
Guest tammam Posted December 24, 2008 Report Posted December 24, 2008 I completely agree with you platypus04. I think Samsung (if anyone working for Samsung is frequently checking this website please note) should allow users to specify folders where photos reside. Otherwise, like platypus04 says, it renders the program useless. Regards, Tammam
Guest vishalm Posted December 24, 2008 Report Posted December 24, 2008 Use Media Album. (pre-installed) Its much better and allows you to select a folder. No Sub-Folder Support however.

Thank you vishalm, that was a feasible workaround. I played around with it a little more and found by checking "Tracking Album Art to track Tags" in Media Monkey and using Kinoma FreePlay as my media player I'm able to associate all my album art without the photo slides application picking up the .jpegs. Using that setting with WMP, no art was displayed and Touch Player just created .jpegs when it generated its library, allowing photo slides to suck up the image. Kinoma was the key; it's able to read the album art without creating image files.
