i have a holux 236 bluetooth gps

paired with the omnia

selected autopin

created external com6 port for this device

in wm 5 i could just select the device and select connect

in wm6.1 there is no such option anymore

using tomtom works great because it sets bluetooth on and connects automatically

with igo however i need to connect it before i fire up igo

is there anyway to connect the bt gps so it uses com 6 so i can selct it in igo?

please note that enabling bluetooth is not the problem

i can however not connect once bluetooth is enabled

solved it

it seems that if the gps data is not in the sys.txt file it will not connect automatically

very important

you need to add

source=nmea also otherwise it will not connect

very strange that without bluetooth gps igo connects to every port as the internal port

with bluetooth enables and connected to the external gps you can select other com ports but it will not use those

I am having this same problem. The external bluetooth GPS works fine in programs that will allow to to set the COM port manually but I can not get the "Let Windows Manage GPS" programs to work. When I do the windows setup under "External GPS" whatever I set the GPS hardware port to be it reverts back to (None) when I hit OK.
