Guest sheffield_rob Posted December 27, 2008 Report Posted December 27, 2008 Basically as the title says, I want an alarm which can use mp3s in my storage and therefore wondered what alarm you all use with your omnias and whether you'd recommend it? Thanks
Guest mihul Posted December 27, 2008 Report Posted December 27, 2008 i have g alarm.. it's fun, i don't like it though..
Guest Master_Axe Posted December 27, 2008 Report Posted December 27, 2008 say, is it just me or do both the windows and the samsung alarm NOT go off if the phone's off?!? Kind of annoying.
Guest Phantom27 Posted December 28, 2008 Report Posted December 28, 2008 I used pTravelalarm for a long time. It was good, but not finger friendly. I also had to use the wakeup tweak to make it reliable. Here is the website: http://www.burroak.on.ca/pta.html 30 day trial, then $10. Now I currently use g Alarm. I like it because it is finger friendly and skinnable. It also works well with S2U2 and integrates into the S2U2 program. It seems to be a good program and it is completely free. Here is the website: http://www.ageye.de/index.php?s=galarm/about I have tested both and they seem to be reliable. I would recommend either one but I am currently using G Alarm.
Guest buyukbang Posted December 28, 2008 Report Posted December 28, 2008 (edited) G-alarm is the best for omnia. I'm shaking my omnia slowly to turn off the alarm  Edited December 28, 2008 by buyukbang
Guest lazyeejay Posted December 28, 2008 Report Posted December 28, 2008 MP3 Pocketkai is the best alarm for me, I never got on with G-alarm but this little beauty s simple to use and imo definately recommended:)
Guest Nost@lgia Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 Im using G-alarm on V09 m2d pdaviet ROM with S2U2.
Guest yashgupta25 Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 I started using the G-sensor alarm (Klaxon) but it doesnt integrate with the S2U2 completely or something. The phone just hangs and after a bit of mad thumbing the screen and the buttons, comes to terms
Guest denteno Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 it seems that g-alarm has an issue with the new S2U2 the alarm doesn't start if S2U2 is activated any one has the same problem ?
Guest Nost@lgia Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 it seems that g-alarm has an issue with the new S2U2 the alarm doesn't start if S2U2 is activated any one has the same problem ? There is a setting for s2u2 compatible in G-alarm. try it. I'm using G-alarm with S2U2 and M2D w/o any problem. But u need to know there is minor notification bug exists in WM 6.1 it sometimes produce notification bug and it affects alarm notification as well.

Guest melvynadam Posted January 17, 2009 Report Posted January 17, 2009 I like GAlarm's configurability and am using it with S2U2 without problems but... the inability to display properly in landscape might be a show stopper for some. I find it really annoying that when the phone's in landscape, the maze and maths quizzes don't work and even the alarm settings pages don't display properly. Once this issue is resolved, it'll be *the* killer WM alarm app.
Guest futureboycolin Posted January 18, 2009 Report Posted January 18, 2009 for me, SPB time has the best alarm. the setup isn't finger friendly, but oh well. it has a good loud old fashioned bell tone that i can set to repeat ad infinitum til i snooze it. only thing that wakes me up. i've had very close calls with g-alarm, the samsung alarm and the winmo alarm. like almost-losing-job kind of close calls.

Wow, you're a sound sleeper. I love G-alarm, especially the idea of doing a maze or a calculation task before snoozing. The only thing that guarantees me waking up.
Guest SoreGums Posted January 18, 2009 Report Posted January 18, 2009 SPB Time & SPB Mobile Shell work great together. You can pick any sound file your phone can play. It has all sorts of alarm settings and alarm goes off when screen is blank. I don't think any software would be able to turn a phone on though (you kow if you actually turn it off off, like shutdown) Bought cost money - I've been using them for a year on my HTC TyTNII got my omnia last week or so and works flawlessly. Omnia phone is soo much better then the TyTN II. Why Time works well with MobileShell is on the time page it shows you your next alarm and how long (1day 6 hrs | 6hrs,20mins) to next alarm.
Guest smilepak Posted January 18, 2009 Report Posted January 18, 2009 If you use a different alarm, other than WM one, how do you get TF2D home screen to use that alarm?
Guest Natsirt Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Wow, you're a sound sleeper. I love G-alarm, especially the idea of doing a maze or a calculation task before snoozing. The only thing that guarantees me waking up. I'm also like that! =) lol.. i think that doing sumthing like that before the alarm can be turned off will be the only thing that can get me outta bed. I have tried regular alarms and I wake up at first, but after a while I just turn them off in my sleep >< I have also tried putting the phone on my table on the other side of my room but I just eventually end up walking over to the table and turning the alarm off and going back to bed. Just one question tho, does G-alarm use alot of battery?? I dont want an alarm app that will suck my battery dry overnight...
