Guest xnickyxcorex Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 Hey people, first of all I love my Omnia, it's awesome. However I wanted to try a new ROM. I find myself unable to install one, though. I've looked for several tuts and can't get it to work. I do this; I turn off the phone. Run program Put cable in the phone. Turn on the phone. Then the button remains greyed out. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Thanks

Guest bpivk Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 A few steps: - Connect your cable - Start the exe rom file - Restart your phone - Press the start button - Pray to your favourite god (this last part is optional but i recommend it)
Guest Nost@lgia Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 I'm on Vista and I have all installed, yes Simply don't try to flash ur ROM update on Vista. I have my laptop with Vista and I have Windows XP desktop at office. I only flash my rom at office when I have free time. never doing it with my own laptop. I searched lots of articles before I tried flashing ROM first and there are lots of reports on problems when ppl updates using Vista.
