Going back to original ROM possible?

I'm sorry, I search the forum but did not find an exact answer to my question nor there is a Q&A Thread in here, so I post my question in a new thread (sorry, if this is the wrong position).

Is it possible after trying a custom rom to simply flash back to the original (provider specific) rom?
