Guest gotid Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 I´ve a htc touch hd locked to a portuguese operator and i´m using rebel sim card to unlock it. When i´m sendind an sms text it doesn´t work cause the settings are from another operator. i try to obtain automaticly the settings but it doesn´t work. Any help to configure manualy? or any other idea. need help very badly because i can´t send any Sms message.

Portugal and your operator. unfortunately mine was. i´ve tried that and it didnt work. i can make phone calls, go to youtube, use opera (after changing some settings), send and receive emails but sms text, nothing. Really need help to send some happy new year sms to my friends. i´v tried also Start-> settings->phone-> services and try to obtain settings automaticly, nothing!!! (iniciar>definições>telefone>serviços>obter definições)
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 Unfortunately I do not have a pocketPC device with me at work, it has been a while but from memory you should be able to enter the SMS number manually on the device. You always could on the non touch screen Smartphones.

Did you choose the Voice messages and text and than get Settings? If so, does it appear a screen with sms center service with the number of your network? Can i change the settings somewhere in registry?

Guest gotid Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 i´ve noticed something. when i put the original sim card of the locked operator when i go to settings>phone and choose sms text to obtain settings i see the number of the other operator( the one that i want). this means that the number ( in this case +35193121314) is correct. then i put the sim card with rebel simcard and i cant get access to that settings. Maybe is because rebel simcard?

I can surf the web and make calls, but I cannot send SMS messages (but have an unlimited text message allowance). My PAC number has transferred from O2 (not sure if that is relevant).
