Guest PsyM0nkey Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 Hey there all, Just a quick question which I cant seem to find the answer... Is it possible to make a shortcut from the main menu, or even the from the today screen, to have a quick launch for opera bookmarks? Basically I use internet banking alot, and I would like to, instead of going through a few finger presses to get into opera, and the into the favourites tab, then click on the bookmark, to launch the bookmark straight from my Today screen. I tried to look for a Today Screen display item that might show opera bookmarks, but didnt find any as expected. So I have 2 questions... 1) Is it possible to have a bookmark shortcutted into the samsung menu somewhere that launches opera and the page straight away on press? and 2) If not, is it possible that there is a 3rd party application that can be created(or is already created) that allows me to view my Opera bookmarks/favourites on my Today screen which can be then quick launched? Any info or help is much appreciated! Thanks Simon

I wanted to do the same thing for launching favorites from ifonz. Found a solution at http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=263202 you need to put quotes around the "%1" argument in the regedit
Guest condorx Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 (edited) Hey there all, Just a quick question which I cant seem to find the answer... Is it possible to make a shortcut from the main menu, or even the from the today screen, to have a quick launch for opera bookmarks? +1, same question (though trying to make a shortcut for the whole bookmarks tab, not a single bookmark). I installed a shell a few weeks ago in which a button launched opera and then the bookmarks tab. I'm trying to figure out how to do this, as I'd like to build a widget to open favs from desktop. Any hints? Edited April 14, 2009 by condorx
Guest ronzo77 Posted April 15, 2009 Report Posted April 15, 2009 Using M2D, you can make direct link bookmarks on the Internet tab. Below are some instructions courtesy of kdavidyates: Ok fixed this too for anyone who's interested. If you want M2D to display Opera bookmarks, type opera:config in the address bar, then under 'User Prefs' change the value of 'Opera Directory' to \Windows\Opera9. Reboot and M2D will display any site you bookmarked in Opera after the change. Look under HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila2D\InternetWidget\Customized. I have 'CustomizedCount' set to 0, and also deleted the subkeys that were previously there (they will be labelled 0, 1 etc). These are for manually setting the shortcuts on the internet screen. I think by default there is just one (labelled '0'), for the Youtube button, that has been disabled by setting CustomizedCount to 0. One way to get internet buttons is to create more of these, enter your own urls, then set the value of 'CustomizedCount' to however many you create. So if you set it to 1, you will see the Youtube button, which doesn't work, but you can edit both the text and the url. I didn't like this method, so deleted the '0' key and the others I created, and then when I made the change in Opera my bookmarks now show up. I only rebooted once, and since then whenever I add a new bookmark in Opera, they show up on the internet page. There's one more thing I did that might be needed - delete all the subkeys under 'Operatorbookmarks'. Search the registry for that key and you will find it is where Opera default bookmarks are stored. You can safely delete these, you just lose links to Samsung ringtones, themes etc. Easiest option might be to try deleting all those Operatorbookmarks subkeys (under HKLM\Software\Opera\Operatorbookmarks), see if that works. I think they are a pain anyway! If that doesn't work, maybe try messing with the other entries listed above.
