Guest efjay Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 Maybe when Paul gets his Omnia back he can look into getting the BT files from an i910 to the i900 as it seems Samsung has no interest in fixing this issue.

Thanks Efjay, Yes please Paul, I'll offer you in return a free stay at the 2010 Soccer World Cup, if you like Soccer. Everybody needs this fix and as Efjay is saying - Samsung is just not interested. Pease and thanks in advance

Guest bobobird Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 (edited) Short story - some people tried a while back to emulate the bt drivers from another model but that didnt work out. Dont recall which thread. The search function is your friend... Edited January 2, 2009 by bobobird
Guest efjay Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 I think there is a better chance of getting it to work now we can extract the Omnia rom with the various kitchens. All we need is a rom dump for a Verizon I910 which does have BT voice dial working and get the BT files, that would be a good start to get it working.

Thank you, do you think that Paul will do it, how can I get in contact with him to ask him? And should we ask somebody to do a i910 rom dump. Sorry for these questions but I'm a newbie and do not know how to go about and I need it seriously like I suppose many other Omnia users do. Thanks again for your help

Thanks again for your help There was a thread here from someone looking into creating a I910 kitchen but I dont think he has got it working yet. If and when it does become available I presume the rom files will be accessible in a format similar to what you get with the current I900 kitchens and it should be simple enough to start copying BT files over to see if they work and fix the Omnia problem. Probably give it a go myself if an I910 dump becomes available.
