Does connecting to ActiveSync nullify your GPRS Connection?

I've been attempting to tether/Internet connection share my phone to my PC, via USB with the t-mobile $5.99 "TmobileWeb" package- and its not going well.

However, I noticed that when I am connected via the USB cable and activesync to my desktop (running WIN XP), while connected to GPRS on my Omnia -surfing the internet (on the Omnia) gives blank pages!

Does this happen to everyone? Or is this, yet another, issue I have to tackle before moving on to tethering and then WIFI tethering!

update: I can make and recive calls and text messages while connected, and the connection settings "Allow wireless connection on device when connected to desktop" is and has always been checked.

A quick yes or no from a few folks would really help me out actually!

Thanks!!!

ps- I'm working on getting the correct MMS message settings, (got receiving working but not sending). I'll work on that once I get tethering finished!

When you connected to AS for the first time and created a partnership, did you select the 'Allow wireless connections on device when connected to desktop' (or similar) check box? You can change it in the Connection Settings option of Actice Sync.

Alrighty!

After the third reinstall of activesync I can now browse the web on the Omnia, while connected via activesync to my desktop.

Tethering still won't work...but I'll work on that. f-ing windows!

Thanks to all!
