Omnia - Locked TIM Brasil

Hello All,

I Bought a Omnia from TIM in Brazil (locked), the devide works fine. My original rom was I900LUIHJ6. I didn't backup my original ROM.

So I install a custom ROM (DXHL2 – from Lufeig), now I only can make/receive calls if “3G” icon is not present. When the “3G” icon is on system bar, the calls doesn’t complete, and anybody that call me go directly for voicemail.

egartner, you flashed your i900L with a rom designed for an i900.

their hardware is different... you'll have to find a correct rom for your i900L.

I enter in configuration and disable WCDMA, for now I'm using the phone without 3G.

Do you now if grabe_it "utility" dump the Radio part, or only pda?

We got so far 4 raw files (dumped from lionheartk), and we dont know how to make it flasheable.

Lufeig? did you try to recontruct the raw files?

Egartner, Youll only have your phone working properly if you re-install an i900L rom.

The problem is that we don't have any. If you find one, please share with us.

I advise you to call samsung at 4004-0000 (Capitais e regiões metropolitanas) ou 0800 124 421 (Demais regiões) and ask them for the rom... Tell them your phone came with windows mobile in english and that you wanted it in portuguese (some lots of i900L from TIM came in english, and as customers were complaining, they returned all to samsung). So, tell you search for firmwares at the samsung website and you found just some others, wich did not include Brazilian portuguese (so the person you're talking to knows that samsung itself upload their files to everyone).

They will probably send you to a Service Center, but try to convince them to send this rom for you by email :rolleyes: So that you have a flasheable one to share with us?

Well, If grab it works with an english pda, I can try to dump it for you (I have the i900L from claro, pda in english and radio rom from i900L). I'll try the grab it and send to you.

Ok, I did it with the grab_it and it created a dump.bin file and a hidden folder on my sdcard.

There it is:

dump.rar

But, I tried to extract it using the i900RomKitchen and it did not extract anything... So I guess this bin is not ready to flash.

I have the same problem same as you. I flash the DXHL2 rom with my i900 from Taril. after i join the data plan, I can only use EDGE, not 3G. I am not sure if the cooked rom or my phone network problem. bobobird (member) said that the network in NA is different from Asia even though two areas are 3G network. He told me that i900L can use 3G. Can someone solve this problem?

E_yoshida = You can use Ominia Executor to Split the Rom. Use PDA part from taril, Lufeig, etc and use phone from Sea_man (i900l)

I afraid to flash non-official rom, what i do?
