Guest Toki84 Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 Hello all, Is it possible to make the Windows Mobile UI more touch friendly changing the buttons (using bigger one), the size of text boxes and every other things that could be improved? I'm asking that because seeing the wonderfull works made for the home screen I thought that maybe we can also modify the rest of the Omnia interface. If it's not possible, anyone know if there's a way to change the style of buttons and scroll bar? Making them more rounded like Vista or any other rounded UI... Let me know. Best regards.

Try SPB Mobile Shell, it's very touch friendly. Google it
Guest Toki84 Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 Try SPB Mobile Shell, it's very touch friendly. Google it I know SPB Mobile Shell and others programs like that, but they only change the home or today screen of the phone. What I'd like to do is to change the default Windows Mobile UI, like the buttons, text box width and scroll bars...I don't know if it's possible, so I'm asking.
Guest pidsw Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 If want to go all out you can try WAD. The overhead is not so bad on the Omnia. Wisbar Advanced Desktop (sp?) I prefer spb mobile shell myself, but if you want to really change things look into WAD and WA
Guest pidsw Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 Actually let me take a step back - last I checked I couldn't find any good skins for the Omnia resolution so I didn't register is. There may be more by now. Making your own themes is not a small undertaking unless you want something very simple and specific. It is definitely Fun, but it is a major time drain.
Guest Toki84 Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 Thanks for the answer, I've looked at WAD, there seem to be some good skin for the entire Omnia, but it's the only way to do that? I mean, I must use an external software? Or I can mod directly WM 6.1? Thanks.

Examples Thanks, but then again, and correct me if I'm wrong, don't this skin only works on SPB Mobile Shell to substitute exclusively the home/today interface? I see that the Windows Mobile UI is still the original one...
Guest lastnikita Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 you can at least enlarge scrollbars via registry..
Guest sztupy Posted January 8, 2009 Report Posted January 8, 2009 you can at least enlarge scrollbars via registry.. the others (like the size of the buttons) are up to the application developer. It's be great however if there would be a Zoomer app that allows the user to use the functionality of the application while zooming.
