Guest Jeanne8fr Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 They have 1000's of widgets for Opera. It looks like some of them could be made to work. I tried a few and they install fine but won't work I am guessing because they are not designed for the PPC. Is anyone working on these?. Is there a thread somewhere. I haven't found anything. There is a widget SDK available and they claim that you can make cross platform widgets. There: http://widgets.opera.com/ Jeannette

Well I grabbed a small widget (a yellow pages link). Very simple one. Click on it and it opens opera and loads a url. I modified it to open a site I wanted. The mobile version of france24. It's not perfect but it installs and does what it's supposed to do. You can easily make it open any site you want by editing the html and xml files. You have to change the graphics too which I haven't quite finished. So you put it in the widget folder, remove the '.zip' at the end and click on it. I should specify that you need the latest ROM (HL2) which uses online opera widgets... Looks like there is potential there for creating our own widgets. Jeannettefrance24.wgt.zip
