Changing SPB Mobile Shell theme

I have tried and tried to change the SPB MS theme but with no succes. When i copy the files in the Mobile shell directory and soft reset it displays wrong or just a black screen, and a few .cab installers i found at the end of the installation say "The skin may not display properly because it is designed for a previous version of Windows mobile". I really dont know what is wrong. If anyone knows the answer, please tell.
