Guest integrate Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 I thought this only happens when the battery on the phone is dead, but I soft-reset my phone while it was attached to the USB cable and now it won't turn on. It's just stuck on the Verizon Wireless splash screen. I stll don't understand why this happens on Windows Mobile phones. Unbelievable.

It's probably not bricked, as you still get to your splash screen. I'd try reflashing with a new rom.
Guest krelvinaz Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 1) He can't flash the ROM since it is a i910 not an i900 and there are no ROMs yet (He said Verizon which would have to be the i910). 2) I have soft-reset my phone many times while connected to the USB port on the computer. If a soft-reset does not correct the problem, a hard-reset should. Hopefully you have your contacts and settings backed up.
Guest integrate Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 Ya, the phone isn't actually bricked, just stuck on the splash screen. Had to hard-reset which make it a pain in the ass to install everything again because I had Manila 2d working perfectly on my phone. Why the HELL hasn't anyone fixed this issue yet?

Hmm I've soft reset it numerous times and even hard reset while connected to USB cable..no issue.

Please, rephrase yourself!! It hurts to read something like that.
Guest Dblocker Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 I've also noticed when doing a soft reset that the phone sticks on the Verizon splash screen. At that point I turn off the phone and turn it back on and lo-and-behold I'll be at the "enter your pin" screen. No idea the cause but so far not worth a hard reset since I soft-reboot so rarely with this phone.
Guest rith Posted January 8, 2009 Report Posted January 8, 2009 (edited) Why not trying remove the battery from the phone for a minute and put it back and start it up? may be this may help  Edited January 8, 2009 by rith
Guest sztupy Posted January 8, 2009 Report Posted January 8, 2009 must be something with the bootloader. it switches to update mode for a few seconds when the usb cable is plugged. maybe sometimes something goes wrong with this switch.
