that is indeed how agps should work

on the omnia however it seems that when you switch of agps it gets a fix much faster.

with igo8 it works like this

AGPS ON

satellites show instantly in red(1 second)

after a while they turn yellow one by one(takes time before al of thm are yellow)

after a while some of them turn green and you have a fix(5 minutes)

AGPS OFF and XTRA.bin deleted

satellites do not show at al

after a while they show up al at once in yellow(30 seconds)

after a while some of them turn green and you have a fix(1 minute)

Or they show up all at once including green ones with instant fix(30 seconds)

with agps of it seems much faster

google maps however only seems to work fast with agps on

so it al depends on how the program accesses the gps
