Hotspot Shield on OMNIA

hi all

I was just wondering if anyone has been able to use Hotspot Shield on windows mobile (in this case our beloved OMNIA).

What hotspot shield does?

1. Most importantly it lets me watch any video website hulu/pandora etc. while i am outside US (esp. in dubai where websites like orkut are banned as well :( !!) on my PC/Laptop.

2. Helps protect at public wifi spots.

Maybe this will help in making it available for OMNIA and use the wifi to access those websites on it :(

It will be great to have a similar approach or better still a small program to do all the configuration automatically.

I hope this topic is met with similar enthusiasm as games|tweaking|roms :)

hi, i've been using a lot of softwares from this forum and i just found out about hotspot shield on your post..

you could actually make it work on the omnia..

i managed to muck around the the VPN settings under "Connections" of the Connections tab on Settings.

choose under "My Work Network" the "Add/edit my VPN servers"

then just follow the instructions as written on this page. http://www.hotspotshield.com/clientless/ip...get_started.php

be sure to have your wireless adapter turned off before doing this.. the next time you connect using your wifi, you'll be connecting to "Work" instead of "Internet".

i also forgot to tell you to fix the browser connection settings so that the browsers will use Work instead of Internet.

ps. Is it possible to use this through our 3G settings as well?? If there is an app that could configure such setting semi-automatically in our omnia like it does on iphone will be great!!
