Guest afehn Posted January 9, 2009 Report Posted January 9, 2009 (edited) Hi, I've just finished testing an app for windows mobile that allows you to view the status of your friends on xbox live. It's an actual app, rather than a web browser pretending to be an app, that shows an iPhone style list of all your friends gamertags. It allows you to see whos online, what game they are playing, what they are doing in that game, their gamer picture and gamer score. Version 1.2.1.0 Features Added: * Notification auto closes after 10 seconds * Notifications have a button to take you to application for further details * Application will notify you when a new version is available for download. Bugs Fixed: * Fixed memory leak * Performance inprovement for scrolling * Performance improvement to startup time * Fixed problem with touch sensitivity on VGA devices * Improved icon for VGA devices * Minor tweeks Version 1.2.0.0 This update adds an online notification system. Now when your friends come online you will get a Notification pop up to tell you whos just come online. Features Added: * Can run in background * Auto refreshes GamerTags status, using configurable refresh interval * Generates Windows Mobile Notifications when friends come online * Notifications can be Enabled or Disabled * Useability enhancements. Attached is a screen shot. It runs in a trial mode until registered. To register I'm asking for a donation of £1.50 to help support ongoing development. Guest Paul (MVP) Posted January 9, 2009 Report Posted January 9, 2009 Pretty cool! I'd like to see the ability to view / send / reply XBL messages if that's possible, ideally presented in the standard WM inbox. That'd be sweet... ;-) P

Guest Jasonkruys Posted January 16, 2009 Report Posted January 16, 2009 I quite like the look of this, it is very tidy indeed - well done! Will a one-time purchase qualify you for future upgrades, such as if you do implement Paul's suggestion?

Guest Jasonkruys Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 Thank you. Future updates will be free Are you planning to build in apptodate support?
Guest afehn Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 Are you planning to build in apptodate support? I plan to add an update feature to the app rather than get people to install apptodate
Guest Jasonkruys Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 Oh ok, cool. Most people have it installed anyway, since the number of applications using it are growing - might prove easier in the long run!
