Guest almark Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 I believe it is in XML format, but is there a guide to follow? Can anyone offer some advice, or where I can go to get some help?
Guest paulend Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 no dissrespect mate, cos i dont know much. but, do a search before posting, there hs been many a post on this subject ;)
Guest almark Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 I did many searches for 'SPV friendly design', XML design', and 'XML Skins' all returned hundreds of pages. I did look through many of these but couldn't what I wanted. There was one page where someone had designed a new home page for the SPV and I posted a question there, about XML. All advice welcome ;)

Guest silverback Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 All that I have done to teach my self, is download some of the skins that are available and play around with the text until I sort of understood it. It gave me something to do on these cold winter evenings. ;) If you look HERE You will see my first try which was very basic but it was a start.
Guest almark Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 Paulend, you were right, they were there I just couldn't find them. Thank you for your help. I'll look these up and have a go. http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default....2homescreen.asp is the best link.
Guest almark Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 Good grief! Acccording to http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default....2homescreen.asp I need to download the SDK, 46MB. Then the sys Requirements for the SDk are to have embedded Visual Tools 3, which is 319MB !!! If this is right I think I'll forget it
Guest Bazz Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 No you don't. You need notepad and... well that's it really! Check out this for some info on XML and where to go from there: http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic...ighlight=#13659 Ignore the other posts in that thread as they are talking about actual programming rather than customisation
Guest almark Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 Thank you, that just what I am lookig for. ;)
