Guest Bern612 Posted January 9, 2009 Report Posted January 9, 2009 Hey just thought i would share what happen to me and maybe help somebody from making the same mistake. I have the i910 and thought i was organizing pic pics in photo slides. Steps i did. I created a new folder and cut and paste the pics over from old folder to new. Well the pics didn't leave the old folder so i thought i could just delete them out the old folder. Nope unfortunatly it deleted them all old and new folder. I thought i was screwed started googling couldn't find any thing i could do most said do a rom dump and u maybe able to get them back. Well i don't know how to dump a rom .. Anyway i went into connections and looked under usb connection mode. I switched mass storage and boom power data recovery reconized my storage, and storage drive as hard drives. Did a file recover and found the pics i delete and some i should have kept deleted. LOL

For sure, when your connected trough the Mass Storage function, your omnia becomes a hard drive and you can do whatever you want, including file recovery. Data transfer is much faster as well compared to data transfer while in Activesync connection.
Guest aisy05 Posted April 15, 2009 Report Posted April 15, 2009 "boom power data recovery reconized my storage, and storage drive as hard drives" how did u do the data recovery?? *im on my nerve now.. deleted my autumn trip pics...*
Guest theidoctor.org Posted April 15, 2009 Report Posted April 15, 2009 Data transfer is much faster as well compared to data transfer while in Activesync connection. I AM SUCH AN IDIOT!!!!!!!!! I knew that and for some reason, the last few days (while i have been transferring a ton of navigation files) i kept wondering why it isnt as fast as it was before. I am so glad you mentioned that cause i probably wouldnt have figured it out until i needed to put my phone in mass storage mode! AHHHHHHH!!!! i feel like such a dummy!

In the program you can choose to do a recovery of the new external hard drive (your omnia)
