Guest rgabor Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 Hi! My problem is that every time when i invoke the build-in dialer it starts up very laggy. This means, that in approx. half a seconds it visually 'builds' up the interface (drawing each button and other interface elements one after another from down to upwards). It's not the time consumption that bothers me, rather than the very lame apperarance of all this ... Is somebody else noticed something like this? (didn't find any references around) Is there any way to solve this, maybe showing the window only after its fully ready somehow? Using secany's dxhk3, and it's produced out of the box (with no install apps whatsoever). Thanks, Gabor
Guest bpivk Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 This happens if you install a lot of software that runs at startup. It's just like a computer. You get the icons first and then you have to wait a little to actually use the computer. It's the same on my Omnia with 100+ apps installed. I have to wait for the phone to start completely if i reboot it. Tman starts first, then the dialpad and then the theme loads up. The dialpad blinks once and then i can enter my pin. The less startup software you have the faster the actual startup.

I mean the samsung dialer application, which you use for dialing, not the sim pin code interface at every startup. Its happening after startup, every time, doesnt depend on how many app running in the background etc. Thanks Gabor
Guest lastnikita Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 if you disable the samsung skin it will be much smoother, but more ugly too
