I apologize if this has been asked before, I did search in advance.

I've just upgraded my Vodafone Omnia using the official "Vodafone" firmware, and I can't for the life of me remember how I managed to set my phone up to automatically lock after a set period of inactivity. I have SPB MobileShell/Pocket Plus installed, and previously had S2U2 installed for a very brief period, and looking around through the various options I cannot see how to set it up this way again.

Also, my End Call button that is being used to lock the phone when held is also not able to UNLOCK the phone now either, meaning I have to tap away at the little Unlock button that pops up.

If anyone knows what I can do to sort this out please let me know.

All your answers can be found under Settings => Personal => Buttons

Hey mate, i dont know if this is the solution you're looking for, but this is what I did to get my phone to lock after a period of time...

1) In your settings tab (the main Windows Settings tabs), click on the System tab at the bottom, then find the Power icon.

2) Under your Power settings, go to the Battery Power Tab. Once there, make sure you have the option 'Turn off Device..' and with the desired time frame you want.

3) Once you have that activated, click OK at the top, and now go back to your Settings Tabs. Now click on the Personal tab...

4) Under Personal, click on the Buttons icon...

5) Now under your Buttons settings, scroll the tabs at the bottom and find the tab - 'Wake Up'. Click the tab.

6) Under your Wake Up options, select the box - 'When device is woken up, lock device'.

There you go.

Now after you selected period of time, eg. 3 min, your device will 'sleep', and when woken up, (by any button) it will be locked.

I THINK thats the closest way you'll get to automatic locking.

If there is an easier way, I hope someone posts it here.

Hope that helped...

cheers!
