Guest 3shirts Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 It always seems to show the most recently added at the bottom. I have quite a long list and one of the ones I use a lot is near the bottom. It's a pain and I can't seem to find a way to re-organise them.

Can't help with the arranging but if its a long list why not create new folders and split them up.
Guest picky-picasso Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 Can't help with the arranging but if its a long list why not create new folders and split them up.Use foldersExport your Firefox bookmarks to an MHT or HTM file and sync this with your phone. Then you can open this bookmark file with Opera instead and get an organized list of bookmarks, fresh from your desktop.Haven't thought of a way to do that sync in reverse though, i.e to select bookmarks in opera and upload them to the desktop...

If you use Opera on your desktop you can keep them in sync with Opera Link: http://www.opera.com/link/ Cheers!
Guest 3shirts Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 If you use Opera on your desktop you can keep them in sync with Opera Link: http://www.opera.com/link/ That only works with Opera Mini though, not Opera Mobile.
Guest methadone Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 That only works with Opera Mini though, not Opera Mobile. Oh, right you are. My bad... Havn't gotten to use it in Opera Mobile yet, and now I guess I don't have to. :) I guess it is because Opera Mobile 9.5 still is somewhat of a beta and they havn't implemented it yet? Would be silly if they didn't put it in eventually... :D

Guest taril Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 open Opera enter this as a link without http://www. opera:config than enter
Guest 3shirts Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 open Opera enter this as a link without http://www. opera:config than enter Sorry what is that supposed to achieve? There doesn't seem to be any setting in there that has any influence over bookmarks
Guest scoiattolo Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 (edited) You can manually edit the Opera bookmarks file. Find the file opera6.adr (it should be in My Device/Application Data/Opera9). Make a copy and edit it with a text editor (pay attention to use the proper format). Then replace the original with the edited one. BTW if you flash your phone you can simply make a backup copy of the file and copy it back after. Edited January 26, 2009 by scoiattolo
Guest digbee dart Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 open Opera enter this as a link without http://www. opera:config than enter Opera trashed my bookmarks. My fault, guess the colour of my shirt was wrong. I went looking for a solution and thankfully found this post. :( This post is one of those gems that everyone sees and uses but draws no comment. SO: Thanks so much for pointing this out 'taril'. A thousand blessings upon you, your family, friends, pets... you get the gist.
