Guest 3shirts Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 I have Manilla so I can see when I have unread Emails and SMS messages, is there some way I can automatically dismiss the icon from the top toolbar? It's worst when I get email, my phone shows the icon but I then read it and delete it on my PC. Next time the phone syncs the email is not there but the icon doesn't go!
Guest Raul6 Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 did you check in settings/sound notifications?
Guest 3shirts Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 did you check in settings/sound notifications? Yes, you can stop the summary box from popping up at the bottom but not the little icon on the taskbar. I tried experimenting wih a Mortscript that reads the registry and resets the values to zero but it doesn't seem to work

Guest Jumba Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 (edited) It resets your unread messages count. When I was using SPB Mobile Shell I always had it displaying 2 unread voicemail messages, even though I'd read them. Nothing I did managed to get the phone to display 0 remaining messages. So I ran this app and it reset the unread messages counters. From the link... Reset Unread Count It's attached (ResetUnreadCount.cab) at the bottom of this post. If your device has suspicious unknown count of any unread email/vmail/sms/mms, use this CAB file to reset them. Edit: Maybe it doesn't work for Manilla? Edited January 15, 2009 by Jumba

I don't want to do anything to Manilla, it's the windows notification I want rid of. There is a registry setting which changes when you have one but changing it back to what it was before the message doesn't seem to work. Anyone done any research into the registry regarding notifications
