Are there any good SMS applications for our omnia? For example: i have some apps that replaces the winmo/ Omnia one's like: iContact BE, Thumbcal, Galarm, Touchlaunch, S2V/P. These one's look good, dark background, thumb/fingerfriendly, simple, customible and great. Especially if u have a custom lite ROM!

I know that PocketCM has a contacts application with a built in SMS handling, this was something i am looking for but i dont need the contacts part because i use iContacts Burts Edition for this.

One of u guys/ gals any suggestions???

yeah... tried that one aswell, but it didn't replace the winmo SMS/mail app. What i also didn't like was that the contactslist to send new sms was shown the last name then first name. it wasn't configurable.

actually you can, go to your contacts, then select edit mode, edit any contact then there is the option, file as, it will be able you to file your contact name last name first then first name or first name first then last name...

I am using PocketCM I like it although it does have its flaws.

* Not been able to start direct to the SMS part of the APP.

I would like a Email thumb/finger friendly app. but none exist. and Silverinbox isnt in my current rom!

i have all my contacts with first name first.... only SMSChat doesn't do it. SMSChat looks cool but if only the contacts part would change and if it will be a full replace for winmo's sms/ mail, then it will be superb!!!

I have been looking at this for a while, as I hate the Poutlook sms option built into windows mobile...

I have settled on this solution

Try this

goto

http://www.pocketcm.com/daily.php

and download the latest built. 0.29 from the nightly build...Yes it is potentially buggy, but it is the latest edition and seems to work ok on my omnia

then down this skin iOlio_v4.1.zip (169.5 KB, 66 views)

from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=357056

copy the zip to the pocketcm folder and choose it from the pocketcm settings.

pocketcm stays resident in the background and is very fast when re-accessing.

it takes alittle getting used to. but after looking at a iphone I belive it is almost a like for like match.

jee... thanx pal but as i mentioned before, PocketCM is a contacts app with built in sms handling. I dont need another contacts app cause im already using iContacts Burt Edition, which is perfect for me. If only PocketCM wil come with a standalone sms app which replaces the winmo sms/ mail app......

I am using the Samsung today 2 screen so when i receive a sms i just tap the message icon (which has a "1" icon for 1 unread sms) and read or reply the sms. After that the unread icon disapears.... Thats the reason i would like to have a sms app that replaces the standard one.

I am using icontacts and sms chat. The problem I keep having is that SPB mobile shell always pulls up the winmo outlook options for both of these. Anyone have a solution that works cuz so far the ones I've seen here do not work for th i910 running mobile shell. I really like playing with the spb ms but I am thinking of going to a different UI for this reason.
