Backlight problem

Hi,

Everytime i connect my omnia to pc using cable, the backlight wont turn off, it will be on till i disconnect the phone, that irritates me a lot plus charging is lot slower when backlight is allways on. Settings are good, light should go off after minute of no use but it doesnt, tried several different roms, no luck, any help ?

there are independent settings in the Power control panel for battery and external power to control backlight and suspend. Are you sure you set the external power settings to turn off the backlight?
