Hi,

Back in November my Omnia stopped charging and after using different chargers i realised it was the phone, so i put the phone into vodafone for a warranty repair though they advised me that the fault was due to physical damage (none that i was aware of, no drops etc...) Then explained there was no further action i could take to repair my phone(no insurance cover). So I sent it to Samsung and they are repairing it in warranty with no charge.

Has anyone had any similar issues with the vodafone repair centre?

If so have you tried to obtain compensation, contract cancellation etc... This has left me without my omnia for over 2 months now and the reason i got the contract with them was solely because of the unlimited 3g browsing which i have not had access to due to their ineptitude to follow manufacturer repair guidelines.

Any reply would be greatly appreciated so i can have some idea of what to say to them once i recieve the phone back.

Cheers,

Lewis

I have just sent my Omnia back to Vodafone and although my fault was different the reply was the same.

The fault I have is that if I fully charge the phone and leave it in stadby with no sim card in the battery lasts up to 2 days, with a sim in left on stdby and not used at all it last between 3-4 hours. Vodafone said the new battery I had bought (not original samsung) had pressed against the inside causing the damage, yet I only bought this battery to rectify the problem, so how could it have caused it.

May try contacting Samsung. Do you have a number I can call for Samsung Warranty repairs.
