Bricked Omnia. Any ideas?

Yesterday I tried to flash my Omnia to ROM DXHK1, because my phone returned, after 3 months in service, with Italian ROM.

Unfortunately, after finishing to update the PDA part, it wrote "Switching phone to usb" and gave me an error in searching the ports.

I tried again and I got the same eroor.

From then, the phone is not starting.

The red led above is on, but there is nothing on the screen.

I do not have any connection via USB.

Any idea or the phone goes back in service?

Same thing happened to me mate. Search these forums for "Samsung Modem Driver". Install that and then try again :D

Worked for me after that and the ROM completed and i'm a happy user :)

I have instaled the driver, but the PDA is not seen by the PC.

Have you tried removing the battery then starting all over again?

Also have Windows Device Manager open. Try and start the update again. If you get as far as it failing on the COM ports again, find the device with a problem in device manager and then update the drivers with the XP Samsung Modem drivers.

Yes, not working.

Now I guess the batery is empty because the red led is off.

I think I will take it to service.
