Guest Dr Nize Guy Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 I have this problem with the sound of my Omnia. Sometimes, when my phone is on mute or vibrate and I switch it back on, I don't hear the volume changing (normaly you hear a beep). So I looked for it and in my sound settings, if i play my ringtone, it doesnt play it, it only vibrates, but if I try to play the recieve massage, it does play! The strange thing is that I can't tell when it happens. sometimes I find out after a few hours, sometimes after days. A soft reset will help offcourse, but it is pretty annoying, especially when you don't hear your phone ring. Now, the bigger problem is (I think), I have it with any ROM I used. From standard ROM's to any custom ROM. So i thought maybe a program that I'm using cause this problem, but even on a clean ROM this happends. I just don't know how to fix this?
Guest Jeani0us Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 I have the same problem. It doesn't happen every time i unmute the device, but it happens too often..
Guest methadone Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 I have the same problem. It doesn't happen every time i unmute the device, but it happens too often.. I have that now and then also.. very strange. Also the rhythmic vibration thing only works when it is in vibrate mode, when sound is on it just constantly vibrates.
Guest luuuki Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 i've got the same problem. Any solution?
Guest new2city Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 it happens on mine too and on a few different ROMs. The only way I can fix it without a soft reset is to call a number that I know won't pickup and after that the sound is back again.

Guest Maxwell Newton Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 Ive got this problem too, very annoying if your in the car and you want to play some music, hard enough dirving and soft resetting at the same time!!! Will try drop calling someone next time it happens. BTW i have the latest rom. I did get my phone sent off to be repaired and this wasnt repaired :( although it does seem to happen less on the new rom. I was wondering whether it was somehting to do with pocket player, anyone else using that? If not what are you using?
Guest maf107ezk0 Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 I have the same problem. But I updated my omnia to DXHK1 and I haven`t had this problem for a few days now :(
Guest msjfb Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 I have the same problem, noticed it since IAxxx ROM versions with the new Samsung Volume control interface. This app is buggy, and I am looking at how to remove it to get back at the Winmo standard interface for volume control.

It does not have to do with the samsung volume app but I believe with the etiquette driver
