Guest DangermaN Posted January 16, 2009 Report Posted January 16, 2009 (edited) Hey i've noticed that after installing Manila 2D on my omnia, my phone won't vibrate and ring. I've tried all the all in one packages of manila 2d, and have also done the standard update 19b install. The vibrate and ring feature works before installing manila 2d, but after installing it, it stopped working. I've checked that vibration still works when tapping the screen during msging, and I can still select a rhythmic vibration. But when selecting the type of ring (ring, vibrate and ring, vibrate, vibrate then ring), the vibration part won't work. I also went into the registry and manually changed the vibration time, but the vibration still didn't happen when a call came. I then did the vibration test after dialing *#0*# and it didn't work there (just gave me a black screen). I'm using a custom firmware DXHL3/OMNIA, but i've tried this on the DZHL5 and the DFHJ6 firmware (australia) also with the same problems. Is this a known problem with Manila 2d and the omnia? or have i done something wrong? If its a known problem, r there any applications which can simulate the vibration for incoming calls/sms? i searched the forums for help, one other person reported this issue... Thanks for the help Edited January 16, 2009 by DangermaN
Guest DangermaN Posted January 16, 2009 Report Posted January 16, 2009 ok i seemed to have fixed the issue!! after going thru one by one installing each cab file separately, i found that opera was causing me the trouble cos i installed it...not realising that it was ALREADY installed with the current ROM. I think the problem was because of some faulty opera cab i was using before, build 15233 tho. everythings working now tho!
