How to disable the bootup sound?

I searched this topic but unable to find anything . does anyone know how to disable the boot sound permenantly?

How I did it: I replaced two files from Windows directory: poweron.wav and poweroff.wav with an quiet wav (there is one in Windows dir 'silence.wav'). You need to use external file manager like Total Manager. Worked perfectly.
