Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 WME is all very good for video conversion, but when it comes to audio, converting a track at a time is a pain. I haven't seen any other posts on batch conversion so while looking around i came across this nice little app: dBpowerAMP Music Converter Install that and the 2 wma's codec updates and you can convert batches of however many mp3's you like to various bitrates/file types. Just copying over my 58meg of Faithless wma's now, all converted in one batch with this ;)
Guest The Futures Bright Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 Or use the Microsoft Media Player Bonus Pack MP3 - WMA converter. ;) Keeps all your files and folder hierarchy the same as your original MP3's too if need be. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsme...oad/default.asp
Guest HelloDave Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 This came up ages ago I believe - using a little program called mp3towma works well too. It's just a front end for M$'s WM8 command line encoder, but can batch convert files, though only the whole contents of any given folder.
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 k k sorry ;) At least the anti-MS now have something to play with...
Guest cbcox Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 I've been using dbPoweramp ever since Windows Medi Player 9 prevented my from copying files to my phone. It's a great program and now sites on a PC acting a a jukebox...
