Guest bqst Posted January 17, 2009 Report Posted January 17, 2009 Hi all, I remember reading that some earlier omnia rom's vibrated with every screen touch. I have a verizon i910 which only vibrates with the keyboard. Can I enable vibration with every touch? Is there a registry key that can set this? Here are the keys I see under HKCU/ControlPanel/VibeTonz: MannerVibeBel = 1 Strong = 4 TouchVibeOn = 1 TouchVibeStrength = 2 Any thoughts on what to change? Thanks! -Ben PS. I notice "touch response" being worked on at xda-devs, but it's still a work in progress. Getting the built-in haptics to work the way it used to on older roms seems like a much easier way of accomplishing the same thing?
Guest bqst Posted January 17, 2009 Report Posted January 17, 2009 Just a quick update after some experimenting with the registry keys in HKCU/ControlPanel/VibeTonz: TouchVibeOn = 1 (0 = all touch vibrations turned off, keyboard included) TouchVibeStrength = 2 (same as setting the vibration strength in the control panel) Still don't know what these do: MannerVibeBel = 1 (?) Strong = 4 (?) Anyone know more about how this works? -Ben
Guest bqst Posted January 18, 2009 Report Posted January 18, 2009 TouchResponse Yes, that's an option, but as mentioned in my initial post, wouldn't it be easier/more stable to just tweak the built in haptics? Also, word on the street is the latest version of touchresponse isn't playing well with the omnia... -Ben
Guest leppiel Posted January 18, 2009 Report Posted January 18, 2009 Also, word on the street is the latest version of touchresponse isn't playing well with the omnia... Works well for me, you just need to select to proper device id.
Guest Jokes On You Posted January 18, 2009 Report Posted January 18, 2009 As long as TouchResponse is installed on either a device or a storage card and not My Storage it should run fine.
Guest pekkala89 Posted January 18, 2009 Report Posted January 18, 2009 I'm currently using 11 as the device id and it works perfectly. I've set vibration duration to 15ms, very light vibration but noticeable.
Guest 3shirts Posted January 18, 2009 Report Posted January 18, 2009 Yep, as above, device ID 11 and I have 15 on both touch and release and it makes the phone much nicer to use, especially fiddly things where its hard not to know if you've pressed it

Thanks guys! Have mine set to 15 and 10. Just enough feedback, but not too much! -Ben
