Shortcuts on today screen?

Could someone direct me...?

What I'd like is a blank today screen (maybe a clock and the date), so I could put shortcuts (icons) of the actual applications (e.g., Word, TCPMP, BibleReader) that I use on it, a la Iphone, on my Omnia. But not widgets that Samsung has--- I want to not have to go to another screen to get my shortcuts. Any such animal? I'm using HTC home now... Thanks loads :)

Take a look at "SPB Pocket Plus". It contais fully customizable today plugin. You can add any icons you want. You can also create different tabs with icons and info.
