Screen Adjustment possible? and slightly raised rear cover

Hi all,

A newbie here. Just received my Omnia as an upgrade on my contract and am loving it so far!

I have one slight glitch - not sure if it is a fault or not. But I have noticed that the screen is slightly more to the right as the black border around the screen is more on the left than the right. When the light/screen is off the screen looks like its in the middle. Are all Omnias like this - anyone noticed this? any way of adjusting it to align the screen to the centre?

Secondly, on the right hand side of the phone the rear battery cover stays ever so slightly raised on the left side (below where the stylus mounting hook is). It doesn't seem to sit flush - is this how it is?

They are just little problems and I'm sure my network service provider will swap it for a another one if I kick up a fuss but its a hassle as I already have stuff stored on mine. Would prefer just adjusting the screen myself if possible...anyone know?

Any help appreciated.

Anyone? just to clarify I mean adjusting the position of the screen itself and not calibrating the touch screen.

Sorry mate,

I don't understand what you're talking about.

My Omnia's display is right in the middle and the cover is tight on all sides.

Maybe mines just faulty - explained it to the network provider and although they must have thought I was being fussy, have agreed to swap for another brand new one. Touches on the touch screen are also not registering first time at times (even with a stylus) so probably wise to get a brand new one.

Sounds like it to me. Mine's near perfect, with a well-aligned, centered screen, and a flush, tight back. In fact, it's a PITA to get it off sometimes.

FWIW, I think the design of the Omnia is raelly sweet... elegant look, nice coloring, totally flat, flush face (except for optical mouse thingy), and really like it.

Of course, I'm coming from years of Treos going back to the 650, so I may be influenced by that of course :)
