Guest dwallersv Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Am I some sort of alien weirdo, or does anyone else like the transcriber SIP? Where it is practical to use -- and that's many places -- I prefer it over all the others. I can enter text faster with this than any other method. Only when it just isn't convenient to use the stylus am I forced to use one of the other SIPs (the QWRTY version). Now, the lack of an integrated stylus is annoying, although undoubtedly a design issue (just wasn't enough room in this very well-designed and stylish phone, although I don't really believe that). My solution was to poke a small hole in my leather case and attach the stylus there. It dangles between the case and me, without any discomfort, and is in reach 99% of the time since I always use a case. So using the transcriber is generally easy to do, and it ends up being a great way to enter text fast.

I agree with you, I just find it faster than all the other input methods. Finger Keyboard 2.1 is a close second and worth checking out.

Guest nghumphrey Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 Hi, where can i get cab file for transcriber SIP? After some googling I found this: hxxp://www.4winmobile.com/forums/download-notifications/9766-new-file-added-wm_vi_black_transcriber-cab.html You need to register to be able to get the cab. I think its from a HTC. It works for the omnia but for some reason it will not remember any changes you make to it's settings (such as writing styles, add space after entry, pen color, etc.) once you reset your phone. Not perfect but the best I have been able to find.
