Guest vister Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 Hello everyone. I have a dilemma. I have various games that state they can be used for the Omnia but are in .jar file format. How do i execute these files on my Omnia (Verizon)? Currently, this is the error message I get when I try to run the games: run the application first then open the file within the application Thanks for any assistance. Games I'm trying: Asphalt 4 Prince of Persia Rayman Raving Rabbits Midnight Pool 2 Abracadaball Megacity Empire: New York
Guest raza1 Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 I have the same games. I've just copied the jar files to my storage and installed them by clicking it on my omnia. It will be installed in the java folder so open the games by clicking the java application in programs and select the game.

Mine is from Verizon which is sort of stripped. I don't have a Java folder. Edited January 21, 2009 by vister
Guest AkWngnut Posted January 21, 2009 Report Posted January 21, 2009 Hello, and you were able to play these games? I have installed a few JAVA style games on my i900 but have since taken them off because I was not able to play them. Any pointers on how to play games or maybe I installed them wrong, which I dont think is the case. Thanks for the input.... -Dave

Thanks for the input.... -Dave I see alot of people giving directions as to what to do to open games- but unless you really understand that people have different phones and set ups- you might want to go entirely to the basics maybe start off by telling them to be sure to have a certain set up - and what to open before doing an install- and so on... i know we all try our best to help out- but sometimes good intentions are best left alone. JAR on the OMNIA i910 verizon - updated rom - there is no java enabled program- so we may need something more to run the .jar apps - I will lok further into this- and post- unless someone else has already somewhere else CAM and I came up with this- sorry if it's already been done - on here http://anonym.to/?http://www.megaupload.com/?d=9ABZPMAE is the Java app- and it's up to date - now when you put a .jat file in your phone- you can see it has a custom icon- click on it and it should launch java and follow the prompts- it may say the file is not trusted- but namely for the sake- it comes from sources as it did- ENJOY!!! Guest natedawg1013 Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 Probably the best java enviornment for the omnia is a special version of JBlend specifically made for it. The reason that some of you can use the .jar files immediately is probably that you are using a custom ROM with JBlend, or JBed already installed. The Omnia JBlend is here. \/ http://rapidshare.com/files/263036940/SJ_S...nd_20080605.cab Enjoy!
Guest andham Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 I have a SGH-i900, with standard WM6.1 including Java installed - I simply access the Java app (Coffee Cup Icon) and there is a list of the Java programs that I have installed. To run, I just select. I am wondering if there is a way (without modifying the actual app) to get touch screen capability within these apps (unlikely I know, but I figured I would ask anyway).
