Guest Rdy2Go Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 (edited) I noticed it for all the Manilla 2D based ROMs: - new SMS received - I read the SMS - I keep it open for minutes or change messages --> MESSAGE COUNT IS STILL 1 not ZERO Message is not marked as read How to fix it? I know now thanks to subzro14 DISABLE THREADED SMS http://www.pspmyspace.com/omnia/2008/12/disable-threaded-sms.html Edited January 23, 2009 by Rdy2Go
Guest bpivk Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 (edited) Did you check if you have any other sms. I don't have this problem with passoa's rom. Not with sms, mms or email. But i had this problem when i missed a message. :) Plus you have to click on it to check it whole not browse trough them on your main screen. Well browsing works on shorter messages but not on longer. Edited January 22, 2009 by bpivk
Guest Rdy2Go Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 I've got only 1 sms (at all), it was unread and icon showed 1 unread SMS. Then I opened it and leave it open for 30 minutes (within Manila 2D interface), still SMS was not marked as read. Checked with 3 different ROMs and it's always the same. The only way to mark it as read is to open it in default Windows Mobile messaging application. Seems to be default feature of this version of M2D :)(

You mean without leaving Manilla 2D main screen? The only way for me is to tap on message and read it (again!) in tmail.exe (default) messaging. That's the only way for the counter to reset to zero (disappear). I did hard reset, currently I use your DXIA2 ROM which is great despite this bug or functionality (it was the same with other Manila 2D based ROMs recently released).
Guest subzro14 Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 are you using threaded SMS? i think that's what's causing it :)

Guest Rdy2Go Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 (edited) Huh that's why it works for me :) . One of the first things I do is to disable threaded SMS :D . You deliver very nice manilla 2d lite ROMs on regular basis and I almost abandoned them because of this issue. Tried other ROMs and... the same issue over and over again. It might be a good idea to cook in Omnia Thread Switcher app (it's very small) and make a note to your "clients" because default setting (threaded sms + manilla 2d) is confusing for Manilla 2D newbies like me. It would apply to Manilla 2D lite roms of course. Looks like a bug for someone who does not know it's necessary to turn threading sms off. Guest Frankish Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 I love threaded SMS but looks like i'm screwed as i like M2D more. :)
