Keypad Selection Problem

Hi there.

I've just received my HTC Touch HD today and I seem to having a bit of a problem with it.

Now it's probably something really simple and stupid, but when I'm typing a text message, and I choose any other keypad type (for example, full qwerty, compact qwerty) and press ok, it does not change the keypad. It remains a regular phone keypad.

When I am browsin the internet, if I turn the Touch on its side, it switches to a qwerty keypad.

Am I doing something wrong? I want to be able to text using the qwerty keypad.
