I have noticed that the new Throttle Launcher version 0.9.6 interface has been released a few days ago and wondered if any of the Omnia owners have already tried it yet as it seems a great interface just as good as M2D yet customizable!

It seems also that this version is now deigned better for the WQVGA screen size as mentioned in their site.

I really wanted to know how it works by means of speed and CPU usage...

So how about we open this thread to try and expand a new interface option for us Omnia users to debate and help each other use it wisely.

I tried the latest version a little while ago but found it buggy, even with the supposedly wqvga supporting Android and TF3D themes. It took a long time to boot up and some of the widgets just didn't react/paint right.

But to really test it I suppose you'd have to hard reset and install it on a nice clean slate, as I had a lot of other stuff already installed at the time that might've conflicted.

Just got M2D stable, so I don't think I'll be hard resetting anytime soon if I can help it.

But I'm definitely interested if anyone else managed to get it running as it's supposed to.

Well I just tested it myself and it was exactly as you described very choppy and didnt fit exactly the screen, oh well maybe in the next release things will get better...

I tried version 0.96 and it works just fine. It does take some time to load after a soft reset, but when it's loaded it works great (I don't think anyone need to soft reset his device that much), responsive and feature loaded. You can add or modify many settings and effects to enhance your experience. Also you can change the scrolling effect of the tabs and make it faster or slower (it's not slow or choppy, may be you just need to increase its acceleration or choose a different scrolling method), horizontal or vertical orientation and fits the screen great, specially when you choose to hide the tray bar (the one with the 2 soft buttons at the bottom of the screen). And it's FREE!!!! What could you possibly want more?!!!!
