IGo 8 not working on Omnia

Hi,

I ahve installed IGo 8 on my omnia ( 8GB) and it's starting normal.

but the problem is that it always picks up my lcoation in 'WestMinster, UK' and satellite bar doesn't show any signal bars.

I tried everything ranging from changing the sys file to landscape mode.

What am I doing wrong here? :)

@ my omnia Igo 8 is working well. I did a registry fix (disable GPS-debug files) and now I have a GPS fix in less then a minute. This is what I did:

But I still have activated enhanced GPS, and it works GREAT!

Update:

The link I provides is not really the same as the manual I followed, the original is from another forum at Modaco, but I couldn't find it that quick.

Hello there, had the same problem yesterday when I set Igo8 up myself.

Went into the settings and had Igo scan for GPS device, found it ok. Still looked like I was sitting in Westminster. Was only when I went outside that it picked up the sat and polled my location correctly. Working great now.

I do use GPS Xtra to download satellite details right enough, may make a difference..?

try to find the gps receiver first in settings for iGO

For a good use of the iGo8 on my Omnia, I use GPSProxy.
