I leave my omnia connected to my pc for a long time via activesync. in that time i am not using my pda so i dont want the screen on always.

i already have changed the start->settings->system tab->power->external power tab->checked "Turn off backlight if device is not used for 1 minute". but still it doesnt turn off.

what can i do?

please help.

good idea, you can already do it manually with a soft to turn the screen off, mapped to a button (aebplus can do that)

if someone can provide me with an .exe which just turn the screen off, I think I can make it to launch auto. on sync :)

It will turn itself back on right after couple minutes. I'd asked this question before but seems to have no right answere for this issue.

That's because turning off the screen with power button puts the phone on standby and AS doesn't work then. So it turns itself back on and establishes a new connection.

true. it will happen if you standby, not if you turn the screen off.

no one with a small .exe that fits the job ?

I know it exists, but dunno where to find it fast.

it's a good idea, not because it is disturbing, but because your battery will load faster this way.
