Hi to Everyone

I am using an Omnia with Khuanchai s latest lite rom

i used to have an issue with Edge connection , whenever i make a call while i am connected to edge the phone makes a funny sound to the other party randomly and twice a minute

it goes away when i am not connected to edge while i am talking

so in order to keep the phone disconnect automatically from edge , i have changed registry and now it disconnects after 20 seconds of no action (gprs_bye_if_device_off)

but this has brought a new issue

the USSD

now almost every five minutes i have USSD message buzzing and reminding me how many mb i have left on my plan . (not to mention that silly screen that i have to cancel each time)

could anybody find a solution for this , or already have one?

please

imho there are two possibilities for this

1 is a way to have edge automatically disconnected when talking only

2 get rid of all ussd at once

well ok , i doesn t mean i stop searching

i did some more tests on my phone

the sound i get when talking with edge on (actually connection is suspended ) happens every 8 seconds

and i have found a way to disconnect the gprs when a call arrives or call is dialed

to here :

HKey_Local_Machine/Comm/ConnMgr/Planner/Settings/SuspendResume

Change from ~GPRS! to nothing (meaning as delete this entry and have nothing written there)

then your phones will disconnect from edge while talking

here is the solution for USSD

go to HLKM/ControlPanel/Phone, go to new and choose DWORD.

in the Value name box type in "SuppressUSSD" without the quotes and in value data type in "1" without the quotes and hit done.

And soft reset it.Finished

you won t get the messages no more.

:)
