Guest ivanxxx Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 Hi people, My cable connection to active sync dies after a few minutes. The tray icon goes to grey but the funny thing is when I plug-off cable, the winxp sounds the usb plug off sound which means it still connected till I plug it off and so omnia has "double arrow icon" on bar which shows connection till I plug off cable.. I'd been using the my firmware more than 2 month without problem. It is : i900DTHJ6/MCR02 And my active processes which seen on sktools : NK.EXE ;0;0;\Windows\nk.exe;;2;6E51002 filesys.exe ;8192000;10404816;\Windows\filesys.exe;;12;6E3FB2E device.exe ;8097792;9603392;\Windows\device.exe;;135;6E0B242 MassStorageDetector.exe ;49152;432;\Windows\MassStorageDetector.exe;94;1;2559CDCE accsensor_app.exe ;65536;2160;\Windows\accsensor_app.exe;95;3;E558675A gwes.exe ;3559424;2967248;\Windows\gwes.exe;30;23;66070C92 shell32.exe ;1232896;542008;\Windows\shell32.exe;50;21;65B9B4B6 services.exe ;1425408;448560;\Windows\services.exe;60;44;C5B5E176 connmgr.exe ;393216;101072;\Windows\connmgr.exe;70;15;E55D3F92 btp_notification_ui.exe ;65536;9344;\Windows\btp_notification_ui.exe;98;2;455542C6 cprog.exe ;8282112;8245856;\Windows\cprog.exe;-n;11;855BE242 Taskswitcher.exe ;1568768;19616;\Windows\Taskswitcher.exe;;2;4569B8C2 calllog.exe ;4149248;272688;\windows\calllog.exe;;2;24BC081E AlarmWatcher.exe ;86016;3424;\Windows\AlarmWatcher.exe;AppArgTimeChanged;4;8659DF02 poutlook.exe ;110592;720;\Windows\poutlook.exe;;1;58D4A7E SipListener.exe ;53248;464;\Windows\SipListener.exe;;1;E55BE122 AEBPlus.exe ;245760;15376;\My Storage\Program Files\AEBPlus\AEBPlus.exe;;2;C5221872 tmail.exe ;1323008;238992;\Windows\tmail.exe;-Text;13;263CC4C6 RilBubble.exe ;57344;1184;\Windows\RilBubble.exe;;2;C52B3D7E sktools.exe ;712704;244816;\My Storage\Program Files\SK Software\SKTools\sktools.exe;;4;23257FAE mstli.exe ;258048;40448;\Windows\mstli.exe;;2;453A69AA DataKeeper.exe ;57344;1648;\Windows\DataKeeper.exe;OSJ;2;659B755A JBlendDaemon.exe ;208896;69072;\Windows\JBlendDaemon.exe;;4;E5532F36 player.exe ;7016448;1024368;\My Storage\Program Files\CorePlayer\player.exe;;9;63932C9E MobileShell.exe ;7278592;6455840;\Program Files\Spb Mobile Shell\MobileShell.exe;-noshow;9;E55B5F72 Inesoft CallerID.exe ;1540096;550264;\Windows\Inesoft CallerID.exe;;3;657C8B8A And here my starup list poutlook.lnk;1 AEBPlus.lnk;2 LargeDisplayStart.lnk;3 SipListener.lnk;4 RilBubble.lnk;5 AlarmWatcher.lnk;6 TimeWizard.lnk;7 Delete_RO.lnk;8 DataKeeper.lnk;9 BluetoothManager.lnk;10 sdim.lnk;11 imstartup.exe;12 hidesim.exe;13 SpbMobileShell.lnk;14 SpbMSSkins.lnk;15 superstarter.exe;16 Inesoft Service.lnk;17 SecureService.lnk;18 Inesoft CallerID.lnk;19 \Windows\shozuRcp.exe;0 InitHomeDownload.exe;0 MassStorageDetector.exe;0 CABfileMover.exe;0 btp_notification_ui.exe;0 LogoOff.exe;0 WlanAutoLdr.exe;0 accsensor_app.exe;0 connmgr.exe;0 shell32.exe;0 sdpready.exe;0 tskschedule.exe;0 autotimeupdate.exe;0 ciphase2.exe;0 coldinit.exe;0 services.exe;0 gwes.exe;0 uptimesqm.exe;0 initvmmap.exe;0 device.exe;0 What shall I do? Go to Settings>Connections>USB to PC Uncheck "enable advanced network functionality" This worked for me and the Omnia stays connected. Go to Settings>Connections>USB to PC Uncheck "enable advanced network functionality" This worked for me and the Omnia stays connected. Oops ! I dont have "usb to pc" option under Settings>Connections>.. I have "Usb connection" option and activeSync selected between options activesync and mass storage. No "enable advanced network functionality" option here..

Sorry TKinVA, you are right, I've found it under winmo menu, I was trying to get there from SPB MobileShell menu which does not contain "usb to pc" icon, it is weird.. By the way, I've done what you've said and reisnstalled windows xp driver quickly, and now it is working well !! Thank you again..
