Guest Zohare Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 I bought my Omnia from a guy in Miami. Now my screen is probably damaged. The touch is not working like it should be. Samsung US says the Phone is not from the states. Samsung Malaysia (Which I think the phone came from there) says it was not bought in Malaysia so they don't support it. Any idea if I can get any support from Samsung and how? Thanks.
Guest bpivk Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 Now my screen is probably damaged. The touch is not working like it should be. What exactly does it do or doesn't do? Did you try a firmware upgrade?
Guest Zohare Posted January 25, 2009 Report Posted January 25, 2009 What exactly does it do or doesn't do? Did you try a firmware upgrade? I tried firmware upgrade but it did not help. Left side of the screen is fine, but in the right side there is a gap of 1 cm between the point I touch and the point as considered by the phone. I can see it clearly with the touch test. Calibration did not help. Actually it is almost impossible to make calibration because of this problem I almost sure something happened to the touch screen. I don't want to open the phone but I could not get support from Samsung as I mentioned in the first post. Any idea? can someone help? Thanks.
Guest Anh Vo Posted January 25, 2009 Report Posted January 25, 2009 (edited) I'm having the same problem with Samsung. I just figured out my screen has some dead pixels. I contacted Samsung USA but they couldn't help, cuz my phone is not US phone. The problem now is I don't know where the heck my phone was made from. I think tech supporting by regional is ridiculous. Someone bought something oversea end up with unsupported. Edited January 25, 2009 by Anh Vo
