Keep MP3 file you wish to choose in storage (16GB/8GB section) but not in any folder. Go to setting/personal/sound and notifications. Choose your own ringtone there. [/quote How was this in any way a solution - this only gives you the similar dialog select as the above thread mentioned. The issue is deleting the Rings folder by relocating it - it seems to never actually work- by GOSH don't get rid of the folder- at least until you can find a solution to move them. I actually freed up space bi deleting HELP FILES in the WINDOWS folder - of course copy them to another folder - it would be nice of the installer apps to utilize their own folder in which the app is installed to place the help file - but delete the ones you won't necessarily use- make copies of anything and NOTE where they go - of course so many phone, developers, manufacturers - if there could be only one when for everything - RIGHT!? NOT!! anyway somebody lead me in the right direction to MOVE the RINGS folder to 'My Storage'
Guest Daniel Gava Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 Keep MP3 file you wish to choose in storage (16GB/8GB section) but not in any folder. Go to setting/personal/sound and notifications. Choose your own ringtone there. Do that and more: Using Resco explorer, Mult-select all ringtones files, go to Menu, File, Properties and uncheck the "Hidden" box. Thay all will be displayed in Phone Settings now...
