Guest lastnikita Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 I was also looking for a good launcher (but the initial request was a today plugin I guess), couldn't find one that fits my needs... they all have big problems to me. so I've asked a friend to develop one, I'll let you know when it comes out !
Guest lustercell Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 My omnia has been cleaned of the touchwiz & the samsung menu. Freed of around 30mb. I'm using M2D to replace it. Better for me. Not sluggish. If only samsung gave developers a chance to share more widgets and optimize the menu...
Guest efjay Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 Thanks for the replies. I tried Touchlaunch as suggested by kurniawan and it works fine, just what I need. @bobobird: I made a custom rom and removed the main menu but wanted an easy way to get to my installed programs. I am waiting for the release of pointui so removed most of the stuff I know I wont use to free up space.
Guest dwallersv Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 (edited) My omnia has been cleaned of the touchwiz & the samsung menu. Freed of around 30mb. I'm using M2D to replace it. If the former, could you help the rest of us with the details of what you deleted/uninstalled? I'm hungry to recover that 30MB on my 910. As for the thread topic, I recommend M2D too as a replacement. In my opinion there is no better UI out there for this phone. Only downside is that it's a Main Storage hog. And yes, it's freeware. Guest amir_rafie Posted January 27, 2009 Report Posted January 27, 2009 Also would love to hear of anyone who cleared all samsung software without flashing. If Someone Could Remove All Samsung`s Preinstalled Programs From Official Rom & Without Making A Custom, He Or She Would Be My Hero !!!
Guest f3pal Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 If Someone Could Remove All Samsung`s Preinstalled Programs From Official Rom & Without Making A Custom, He Or She Would Be My Hero !!! this might help, try reinstalling the same app that you want to remove & then remove it. I have done this and managed to delete
Guest bpivk Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 If Someone Could Remove All Samsung`s Preinstalled Programs From Official Rom & Without Making A Custom, He Or She Would Be My Hero !!!You can't do that. You can only disable something (by using blank files) but you can't delete files that are in your rom unless you flash with one that doesn't have the files in. As it's said in the name (ROM = Read only memory = no deleting of apps).

As it's said in the name (ROM = Read only memory = no deleting of apps). That isn't true! You CAN delete files from your ROM. The only difference from other files is that you'll get them back after a HardReset.
