Media Syncing

Hi all,

I wonder if anyone has any thoughts on this. I have a pc running XP SP3, with WMP11. To cut a long story sort, it used to run Vista, but becuase it is an older machine and was having stability issues, I reinstalled it back to XP. When this machine was running Vista, synching worked perfectly.....

I have a BenQ E72, unlocked, with a 4gb SDHC card in it, with the drivers to make the card work fine. However, when I try to sync media from WMP11 to the E72, it gets about half way through and then...nothing. WMP11 is still saying syncing, but if I scroll down to the track it is curently trying, it is just sitting there. No errors on smartphone, no errors on WMP11...no nuthin. If I try and stop the synch, WMP11 just locks up. If I then unplug the smartphone, WMP11 comes back alive. Very strange. I have tried mandating quality settings in WMP11 to 128 and 160kps to set a level playing field, but that made no difference. I have tried this numerous times now. It never stops on the same tracks, so I can't identify what the cause/problem is.

As I say, everything was fine when this machine was running Vista for syncing. Just due to older hardware (sound and video mainly) I decided to go back to XP. Now I am puzzled. :)

Any ideas as to why the syncing is doing this?

hi David I too have the E72 with a 4gb sdhc card. How did you get the card to work? i have tried installing the cabinet file, i then reset it but it doesnt seem to work. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks :D
